British Whites
Farmed at Nanthes’ Park since 2010
History & Attributes
British White Cattle in Australia.
As the name suggests, the British White originated in Britain at Whalley Abbey, mid-Lancashire. They were first imported to Australia by a Mrs Anthony Hordern in 1958, and the breed has since spread throughout Australia.
These polled cattle are distinctly marked with their white coats and black points.
They are a dual-purpose breed, used for both their milking ability and high-quality beef. These days, the breed focuses on beef production, but their milking ability combined with their mothering skills ensures that calves thrive.
